Data Saturday Oslo is a free training event for professionals who use data platform capabilities either on-premises or in one or more of the 3 major public clouds Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.

We are very happy to welcome you all again to Oslo on Saturday August 31st. We also aim to offer a full-day pre-conference Friday August 30th.
If you plan to attend remember to set aside the whole day and evening as per usual we will have our traditional Data Saturday Oslo after-party when we have concluded the event. This is a great place to network with other people who share your passion for data.
Sadly the unprovoked aggressive attacks by Russia on Ukraine is still ongoing. We are in such an awe of the efforts of the Ukranian defense forces to push back the Russian forces and the will of the Ukranian people to fight to keep their sovereignty. The need for humanitarian relief is constant and please consider to help out if you have the opportunity (see links below).

What architecture designs and solutions are best for analytics in Fabric, what to choose for building your solution – Lakehouse, Data Warehouse or KQL Database and where to start? You will find all the answers during this training day! We will dive into all 3 items - Lakehouse, Data Warehouse and KQL Database to learn their specifics and their best usage. We will emphasize the main differences and talk about typical uses cases. Then we will pay a special attention to common Architecture Designs for using Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, and Real-Time Analytics/KQL Database. At the end you will discover how your data estate for analytics data warehousing/reporting will change or differ from existing designs and how to choose the right path moving forward. This training day will give you a very good understanding of the differences between the Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, and KQL Database, and most important it will explore for you possible Fabric solution designs and use cases to get the best of the Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, and Real-Time Analytics/KQL Database. All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are required to adhere with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensuring a safe environment for everybody.
The Short Version
Our conference is dedicated to providing an enjoyable environment for everyone involved. Thus providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.
The organizer of this event will prioritize marginalized people's safety over privileged people's comfort.
The Less Short Version
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. Conference staff can be identified as they'll be wearing branded shirts.
Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance.
We expect participants to follow these rules at conference and workshop venues and conference-related social events.
